"The National Radio System of Texas"

The Armadillo Intertie System is a large network of amateur (ham) radio stations covering much of the State of Texas. The system is operated by Armadillo Intertie, Inc., a Texas non-profit corporation, and is an affiliate of the Cactus Intertie System.

Clayton Finch, K5SWT

January 2, 1951 – August 1, 2001

Mr. Clayton Finch, age 50, died Wednesday, August 1, in a Lubbock Hospital. Services were held in the First Baptist Church in Colorado City with Dr. Ted Spear officiating. Burial followed in the Colorado City Cemetery.

Mr. Finch was born January 2, 1951 in Loraine to Loyd and Ina Solomon finch. He had been a resident of Colorado City since 1983. He married Sharlyn Kuhn on August 12, 1972, in Crane Texas. He was continuing education coordinator for region 5 of he Windham School System and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Mr. Finch is survived by his wife, Sharlyn Finch of Colorado City; a son, Drew Finch and his wife, Bridgett of Abilene; a grandson, Caleb Finch of Abilene; his father Loyd Ray Finch of Colorado City; a niece, Sara Hurst and a nephew, C.J. hurst, both of Colorado City and numerous cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his mother, Ina Finch. The family request memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church in Colorado City.

Clayton was one of our longtime West Texas Armadillo members.
